Join Saco Pathfinders Snowmobile Club Today

December 1, 2022

Hello snowmobile enthusiasts

After a very dry summer and wet fall, we hope you are getting your snowmobile(s) ready for what we hope will be an Epic winter with…..LOTS OF SNOW!!!!

Did you know there is an extensive snowmobile trail network right here in Southern Maine? Did you know the Saco Pathfinders Snowmobile Club is located on Heath Road in North Saco? From our club, you have access to a nearly limitless network of trails in Southern Maine which also connects to the state Interconnected Trail System (ITS).  You can ride from the clubhouse to pretty much any point in Maine and beyond.

Chances are if you have ridden your sled in the Saco, Biddeford, Scarborough, or Dayton areas, you have ridden on one of our club’s supported trails. We maintain nearly 50 miles of trails across those areas with a fleet of groomers and drags. Trail work has already started with volunteers brushing the trails, clearing fallen trees, repairing bridges, etc. All the grooming and trail work is a 100% volunteer effort.

We’re Looking For New Snowmobile Club Members

We are always looking for new members to join our club and help support the local trail systems. Volunteering, though not mandatory, is a great way to meet new friends of all ages with a common goal.  Even a couple of hours here and their is greatly appreciated.  Any assistance you can provide goes a long way in helping the sport that you care so much about. Without our volunteers and landowners, we have no trails to ride.

Great Benefits For Snowmobile Club Members

We are all about enjoying the white stuff Mother Nature throws at us in a safe, family-friendly atmosphere. Becoming a member of the Saco Pathfinders has many perks. For the $35 membership fee, you are given an access card that allows you to enter the clubhouse at any time to warm up, have a hot beverage, relax and watch the big-screen TV, etc. We have a huge members-only parking lot with direct access to all the local trails and convenient maps for those trails.

With the club membership, you also become a member of the Maine Snowmobile Association (MSA). You will receive newsletters from the MSA over the course of the year letting you know the latest news on sledding throughout the state and what the MSA is doing for you in Augusta. The MSA newsletter also has a listing of every snowmobile club in the state, so if you are planning a trip, you can connect with a local club for trail conditions and accommodations.

Great Winter (and Summer) Fun in Southern Maine

On weekends during the riding season, our kitchen is open. You can get burgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, chicken nuggets, and the best clam cakes on the planet! During the summer months, we host lawnmower and go-kart racing (featured on North Woods Law) on our track behind the clubhouse.  This is our primary fundraiser that has been put on pause for the last several years. We were back up and running this spring and it was a huge success. We have enlarged the track and made some other improvements over the last few years and has paid off thanks to all that made this happen.

Our club meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the first and third Wednesdays of each month starting in September and running through April. The first meeting of every month is also a potluck dinner starting at 6:00, so you can get a great meal and get to know the other members who all have the same interest as you….SNOWMOBILING!!
